I, Rohan Shiravanekar, have completed my degree in Production engineering from AISSMS COE, Pune with an aggregate above 80% uptill now.(2020 paasout). The degree in production engineering gives a fine knowledge of Lean management, manufacturing processes, metallurgy, machine design and mechanics. As an elective subject, I have studied Product development in 7th semester.
I have completed two 6 month internships during my course.
1) Forbes Marshall, Kasarwadi, Pune. (15/6/18-15/12/18)
Sandwich trainee, Research and development
During this internship, I got an opportunity to do mathematical modelling and analysis using Matlab and capacity testing and data validation using Excel.
2) Case New Holland Industrial, Chakan, Pune. (16/12/19-16/6/2020)
Sandwich trainee, Supply chain management, Logistics
During this internship, I got an opportunity to carry out Major keizens. One was the NVA reduction at assembly line and another was Kanban implementation in the supermarket area. I got an experience of managing people during these projects as the team of 5 interns was led by me.
