7 QC tools is a problem solving technique. It’s used to solve problems that are too big to be tackled by any other process. It’s used when you don’t know how to solve the problem, or when you have a lot of ideas about how to solve it, but are not sure which one is best. 7 QC tools allows you to investigate your options, compare them and decide on the best one. In the end, 7 QC provides you with a plan of action to follow through with in order to achieve your goal(s).

The 7 QC tools is a problem solving technique that can be used for solving problems in a systematic way. 

It consists of seven steps:

Questioning, or asking questions about the issue to understand it better;

Clarifying, or clarifying the problem by asking questions about it;

Classification, or putting things into categories so that you can see what's similar and different;

Decomposition, or breaking down the problem into smaller parts;

Evaluation, or deciding which methods are best to use to solve the problem; and 

Simplification, or simplifying the solution so that it is still valid but easier to solve.
