Hiring for Quality Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the Quality Assurance of BLDC Motors, Encoders & Gear Boxes and actively drive use of Lean tools to bring improvements in Quality, Delivery, Cost and Productivity. Also, incumbent should be able to interpret and implement significant details from reports / data in areas like customer trends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Prepare Quality plan and execute the same
2) Bring continuous improvements in Quality & Productivity by driving FBS Kaizen
3) Understand the Customer requirements and drive sustainable manufacturing processes to ensure highest standards of product quality
4) Analyze customer complaints and corrective action reports (e.g. 8 D reports) to drive improvement projects
5) Coordinate and collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve Quality issues
6) Drive teams for process audits, use of FMEA, SPC, Six Sigma and other quality tools
7) Ensure quick responses to customer issues using tools like 8D reports, Paynter charts, 5 why analysis etc.
8) Drive projects to reduce scrap, warranty and production Overhead costs
9) Drive quality management systems in line with ISO 9001:2018. Knowledge of EMS and OHSAS is an added advantage
10) Plan and conduct internal / external audits
FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:
1) Should have good exposure working on production line ensuring quality standards are adhered
2) Should have driven process improvements in the past assignments
3) Experience of implementing lean tools
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Production) with 10+ years of experience in QA of functional products like motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, bearings etc.
2. Certifications in Six Sigma like a green belt or a black belt will be added advantage
